Kicking and Screaming...

Bournville is a "preservation area" and as such has been cursed "period style but weedy" street lighting.  Little green lamp-posts with dim lamps and inefficient luminaires that throw light around like it comes for free...

 At last Birmingham Council have had enough and are fitting LED - dragging Bournville from the C19th into 21st - the light goes where it use useful - down and sideways, no direct light at all comes toward my bedroom window.  Less lamp posts are required as well - it looks like one in three is being removed and not replaced.  How many years before that orange sodium glow goes as well?
