The Olympic Flame is 6 minutes away...

This morning, at 06:03, the Olympic flame left Birmingham city centre - I was there to see it pass by, along with thousands who also thought...

"...Robin Hood Roundabout on the A34 - that's a good place to stand"

Crowds gather - its a lovely morning

Now behave! (Lots of police, lots from the Met)

Spares and Standby

Bearers for the Solihull section - all in white like a cadre of penitents

This happy family are all smiling - they have tickets to see the athletics (4x100m finals no less)

Police motorcyclists waving, smiling and fist-bumping bystanders

Here it comes - what a buzz, everyone is excited

Recycling Jubilee Paraphernalia

The Olympic Flame is 6 minutes away...

Two police cyclists passed by - both with bags on their backs - the spare torches are in the bus - so what is in the bag?

Here it comes - all cheering and emotional

Its number 23 - Harv Daliwall

Once in a lifetime - make sure you get the picture

Over in less than a minute

At Robin Hood Island

Change of bearer - cheering crowd and a pipe band playing 'Scotland the Brave'

The technology works fine

Crossing over the border to Solihull

I am volunteering for the Olympics - I got my security/anti-ambush marketing/public facing role training last week - about 700 Kraft*-bury folks will be working with LOCOG.  If you are in Hyde Park (Live Nation) between 2nd and 5th of August - come and say 'Hello' at the Cadbury House.

*If you are at the opening ceremony you might get to see Irene
